  Dial-Type Soil Penetrometer

  This sophisticated pocket penetrometer is designed for a quick determination of the unconfined compressive strength of foundations comprised of materials from clay to sandy soils. Its outer dial reads the penetration force in kg while the inner dial is calibrated in unconfined compressive strength for the 0.25" plunger tip and reads in kg/cm2, which equates to TSF. The device also includes plungers of 10, 15, 20 and 25mm, which can be used to provide strength measurements over a wide range of cohesive soil types.

  Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) test Set without Augers is used to determine a penetration resistance relationship with the standard penetration resistance of virgin soils. The Dynamic Cone Penetrometer uses a 15 lb. steel mass that falls 20" and can be used effectively in augured holes to depths of 15 to 20 feet.   Dynamic Cone Penetrometer with Auger

  The dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) with Auger uses a 15 lb steel mass falling 20" to strike an anvil to penetrate a 1.5" diameter 45° (vertex angle) cone that has been seated in the bottom of a hand-augered hole. The DCP can be used effectively in augered holes in nearly all types of soils to depths of 15 to 20 ft. (4.6 to 6.1m). Components are zinc-plated and cones are heat-treated.
