Moisture Measurement System (MMS)
Moisture Measurement System (MMS)
The Moisture Measurement System (MMS) is a powerful and versatile
instrument for measuring concrete floor moisture, as well as a wide
range of other dampness conditions in buildings. With the included
probes, the user can switch between hygrometer and moisture meter
modes to gain a thorough understanding of the extent of moisture or
dampness related problems within the structure.
The complete system consists of the MMS instrument, a hygrometer
probe, extension lead, pin-type moisture probe, two deep wall
probes, direct-contact surface temperature sensor, calibration check
device, carrying case, batteries and detailed instruction manual.
For users who desire to imbed sensors in the floor or use the sleeve
method for concrete floor moisture test applications, optional fivepack
hygrometer probes and humidity sleeves are available.
Meets ASTM E1907.

Soil Moisture Tester
Model HM-672 digital LCD meter indicates soil moisture at various locations and/or depths by attaching to leads from permanently or semi-permanently placed soil sensors. The 0-100 arbitrary-scale meter readings can be used directly or converted to available soil moisture or soil moisture tension via included calibration curves. Range is 0.1-15 bars tension. Meter electronics are housed in a rugged ABS case with tactile membrane switch panel. Case measures 4.75x2.75x1.25" (121x70x 44mm), HxWxD. A 9V battery and carrying case are included. Shipping Data: 1 lb (0.5kg); Cu. Ft.: 0.1.
Sensors are ordered separately in pack of 10 with standard 6-ft (1.8m) or extra-long 25-ft. (7.6m) leads which attach to spring-loaded binder posts on the meter for taking readings. Each sensor block is made of gypsum cast around two concentric stainless steel electrodes and measures 7/8" diam. x 1-1/8"H (22x29mm).

Thermolyne Moisture Tester
The Moisture Determination Oven fully automated moisture content determinations for aggregate, soil and asphalt laboratory samples up to 4000 grams. Internal balance monitors change in mass during the test. Endpoint is reached when change does not exceed 0.01%. User may select different, less sensitive endpoints. An audible alarm signals test completion and a hard copy printout is provided from the built in printer.
Having many applications in the modern construction materials lab, the Moisture Tester saves time by eliminating continual manual weighing of sample to determine stability. Asphalt laboratories have found it to be a useful timesaver for sample preparation as required in both Superpave and conventional testing. Accuracy and uniformity of test results are assured and technicians are free to perform other duties while tests are in progress. This unit may also be used as a conventional laboratory oven with the 2 extra shelves provided.

Speedy 2000 Moisture Tester
The Speedy 2000 Moisture Testers are widely accepted for rapid, accurate, and reliable moisture tests on all kinds of materials–sand, aggregates, ores, coal, soils, ceramics, abrasives, and other powders and chemicals. Units are portable, easy to use and do not require a power supply. Samples can be tested on-site, eliminating risk of moisture loss during transport.
All units have tough, die-cast polished aluminum body (pressure chamber) with integral dial. Weighed sample is placed in the tester with measured quantity of calcium carbide reagent and sealed with a cap. Upon agitation, free moisture in test sample reacts with reagent to form acetylene gas. Pressure gauge reads directly in % moisture within 1-3 minutes.

MiniTrase Portable TDR Kit
Using Time Domain Reflectrometry (TDR) the MiniTrase has proven reliability around the world in harsh
environments. “Plug and play” STD BUS architecture, plus a wide selection of
waveguides and standard or customizable lookup tables. Aluminum
waterproof case, indicator lights, “quick change” batteries and
optional multiplexing; this CE device is ready for work!
The MiniTrase features significantly reduced weight, size and cost.
MiniTrase provides the largest signal pulse of any standard commercial
TDR instrumentation used in soils or dielectric measurements.
This means you get a return reflection from waveguide end points
buried deep in wet, salty conditions. MiniTrase uses the proven
step pulse methodology that is the expected standard for TDR
measurements, a fact that is appreciated and acknowledged by
discerning scientists worldwide.
